Comprehensive legalisation of stay — work, business, studies, family
A temporary residence permit is a form of legalisation for foreigners who plan to stay in Poland longer than a visa or visa-free travel allows.
It covers employees, self-employed persons, company board members, students, as well as people applying for residence to join their family or on other grounds provided by law.
A properly conducted procedure gives you a stable and secure status — most often for up to 3 years — and the opportunity to continue your professional or educational activity in Poland.
We handle temporary residence proceedings based on, among others:
Each case requires individual analysis — both of the legal situation and of the practice of the competent Voivodeship Office.
A wrongly chosen basis, incomplete documents or formal errors can extend the proceedings by many months and, in extreme cases, lead to refusal.
That is why we run every case as a structured process: we analyse risks, prepare consistent documentation in line with office practice, respond to official requests and monitor the proceedings. Where needed, we work with the employer or HR department. At every stage you know exactly where your case stands.
Residence
Professionally prepared. Fully under your control.
Legalising your stay is not a mere formality. It is an administrative process that determines your right to live and work in Poland, your access to public services and your legal security. Any error, missing document or uncollected letter can lead to serious consequences — including refusal.
In practice, many foreigners hand their cases over to third parties and lose access to their documents, government systems and correspondence. Lack of transparency, information and control are the most common causes of problems in residence proceedings.
LEX-WAY offers a solution built on the highest security standard: professional document preparation while the client keeps full control over the case.
Once finished, you receive a complete document set, full access to all systems and clear instructions for the next steps.
You remain the only person with access to:
Every stage is transparent. Every document is available. Every decision stays under your control.
This service is a sensible alternative to costly representation by an attorney, while maintaining the highest formal standards. Documents are prepared in line with current office requirements and administrative practice.

Professionally drafted letters in administrative matters
In official proceedings it is very often necessary to file an appeal, an explanation or a reply to a request from the authority. This applies especially to residence, benefits, employment and administrative documents. A letter drafted incorrectly or filed late may result in refusal, the case being left unexamined or serious legal consequences.
LEX-WAY offers professional drafting of appeals and all official letters in line with applicable law and administrative practice.
Every letter is prepared individually, based on an analysis of your documents and your specific legal situation. You receive a ready document with clear instructions on what to do next.
Residence
An essential tool in foreigners' residence cases
An ePUAP trusted profile is now essential for foreigners in Poland, especially since the introduction of electronic delivery (e-Doręczenia) and the digitalisation of administrative proceedings. More and more matters, including temporary and permanent residence applications, require electronic contact with the authorities.
Without an active profile your proceedings may be hindered or delayed, and in some cases you may be unable to collect important letters on time.
Residence
The key to living legally in Poland
The PESEL number is the basic administrative identifier in Poland, needed for many official matters and everyday formalities.
We prepare the application, explain the procedure and support you at every stage — so the whole process runs quickly, correctly and without unnecessary complications.
Work & business
Legal security. Full compliance with regulations.
Employing foreigners in Poland involves numerous administrative obligations and responsibility on the employer's side. Any formal error, missing document or missed deadline may result in a refused permit, a break in the employee's legal right to work and even administrative liability for the company.
LEX-WAY provides professional support in preparing documentation for legalising foreigners' work and residence, in full compliance with current regulations.
Work & business
The choice of business form has real consequences
Setting up a business in Poland as a foreigner is a decision that affects your personal liability, how you take money out, fixed costs and your chances of obtaining temporary residence.
Registration itself is only a technical formality. What really matters is choosing the right form.
| Criterion | JDG | Sp. z o.o. |
|---|---|---|
| Liability | Unlimited, with all private assets | Generally limited to company assets |
| Assets | No separation of private and business assets | Company assets are separate |
| Taking money out | Free use of income | Salary, appointment, dividend — set rules |
| ZUS contributions | Mandatory (depending on status) | None for a partner in a multi-person company; different rules for a single-member company |
| Accounting | Simplified | Full |
| Running costs | Lower | Higher (accounting, corporate services) |
| Liquidation | Relatively simple | Formal and time-consuming |
| Basis for residence | Possible, but the office checks real activity | Often more favourable with the right structure |

Correct income tax settlement in Poland
PIT-37 is the most common tax return, filed by people working in Poland under an employment contract or a contract of mandate. Everyone whose income is taxed via the employer must file an annual return with the tax office.
A correct settlement helps you avoid problems with the tax office and often lets you recover overpaid tax.
The service is especially important for foreigners unfamiliar with the Polish tax system and its procedures.
Documents & translations
Full range of written translation and interpreting
Done by a sworn translator authorised by the Polish Minister of Justice. It is legally valid, bears the translator's seal and signature, and is accepted by offices, courts and state institutions.
When is it required?
Uncertified translations are for texts that do not need legal force. The aim is to convey the content clearly and naturally.
An inaccurate translation can cause serious misunderstandings. We guarantee precise translation, on time and to a high standard.
Consecutive — the interpreter speaks after the speaker finishes or during natural pauses. Ideal for business meetings, negotiations, training and visits to offices.
Simultaneous — real-time interpreting for large conferences, congresses, webinars and diplomatic meetings.
Whispered (chuchotage) — the interpreter whispers directly to the listener. Ideal when one or two people don't speak the meeting language. No equipment needed.
Documents & translations
What are they and when do you need them?
Apostille and legalisation are formal procedures that allow documents to be recognised by institutions in other countries — especially when they must be presented to offices, courts or consulates abroad.
Certification of a document's authenticity used in countries that have ratified the 1961 Hague Convention. It is a simplified procedure for quick recognition of public documents (e.g. civil status records, diplomas, powers of attorney) — usually cheaper and faster than full legalisation.
A more extensive procedure for countries that are not parties to the Hague Convention. The document's authenticity is confirmed by the embassy or consulate of the country where it is to be recognised.

Official recognition of foreign records in the Polish register
Transcription means entering a foreign birth, marriage or death certificate into the Polish civil status register. It is necessary for a document issued abroad to have full legal effect in Poland.
Transcription is required, among others, to marry in Poland, apply for residence or citizenship, and in many other administrative proceedings.
After transcription a Polish civil status record is issued, which can be used in all official matters in Poland.

Handle formalities back home without travelling
We know how difficult it can be when you cannot personally take care of matters in your home country. A power of attorney lets you entrust them to a person you trust, without worrying about further formalities.

Documents prepared in line with current office requirements
Exchanging a foreign driving licence for a Polish one requires proper documentation and meeting formal requirements. The key element is confirmation of the licence's authenticity and validity by the authority that issued it.
Vehicle registration offices increasingly require an official certificate from the competent authority in the issuing country — with an apostille and a sworn translation into Polish. Without it you may receive a request to complete the file, which can significantly delay the procedure.
We eliminate the risk of formal errors, delays and requests for missing documents. You save time and avoid complicated formalities.

Complete help with an occasional lease (najem okazjonalny)
An occasional lease is a special form of tenancy that effectively protects the owner's interests and allows the flat to be recovered quickly when the agreement ends. It is only valid with a complete set of documents, including a statement from the owner of a substitute residence and the tenant's statement in the form of a notarial deed.
We offer short lead times and full support at every stage. All documents are prepared in line with the law, so they are legally effective.
